Dr. Jerome Robert
Postdoctoral Fellow, University of British Columbia
Jerome obtained his Bachelor and Master in Biology at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland before joining the University of Zurich to pursue his PhD. There he developed a broad background in molecular and cellular biology that included specific training in vasculature and tissue engineering. Specifically during his PhD Jerome developed an in vitro model of engineered peripheral human vessels to study atherosclerosis, which is highly relevant for the present proposal. After graduating in 2013, Jerome joined the Wellington lab at the University of British Columbia to continue to study the interaction of lipoproteins and blood vessels by developing a novel model of the brain circulation in the context of Alzheimer’s disease.
