tang-waiDr. Tang-Wai is an Assistant Professor in Neurology and Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto, Director of Clinical Services Neurology at the University Health Network, and Co-Director of the University Health Network Memory Clinic. He is also the behavioral neurologist for two other academic memory clinics in Toronto – Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto and Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health in Whitby, Ontario. He is also the incoming Program Director of the Adult Neurology Residency Program for the University of Toronto. Dr. Tang-Wai received his MD from McGill University and trained in Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He then completed postgraduate training in behavioral neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and Jacksonville, Florida under Drs Ronald Petersen, Bradley Boeve, David Knopman and Neill Graff-Radford. Dr. Tang-Wai’s research interests and publications involve longitudinal clinical and radiological analyses of progressive aphasias, mild cognitive impairment, and the atypical presentations of Alzheimer’s disease, in particular posterior cortical atrophy.
