What is The W. Garfield Weston Foundation?
The W. Garfield Weston Foundation is a family Foundation created to maintain a family tradition of helping charitable organizations to make a difference and enhance the quality of life for Canadians. Traditionally, the Foundation has directed funding to worthy organizations in Neuroscience, Education, Land Conservation and Science in Canada’s North. What is the Selfridges Group Foundation?
The Selfridges Group Foundation was set up by the Selfridges Group Chairman, Galen Weston, to coordinate charitable and philanthropic activities within the Selfridge Group. Selfridges Group consists of Brown Thomas and Arnotts in Ireland, Holt Renfrew in Canada, Selfridges in the UK and de Bijenkorf in the Netherlands. As part of its philanthropic work, the Selfridges Group Foundation will make donations to the Weston Brain Institute to support its pilot programs to fund medical research into treatments for brain disorders in the Netherlands and the UK.
