The prevalence of neurodegenerative diseases of aging is high and growing rapidly. The Rapid Response program was created to catalyze and jumpstart the development of safe and effective treatments for these diseases. The program provides short-term grants as seed funding for novel, high-risk, high-reward translational research projects. Proposed projects may relate to any disease; however, the basis for selection will be on the potential impact of the project on neurodegenerative diseases of aging.
Projects can request up to $150,000 over up to 12-18 months.
Applicants must be researchers or postdoctoral fellows from institutions that are CRA qualified donees in Canada.

There are two stages to the application process:
An application for the Rapid Response program requires a Letter of Intent, and applicants will receive feedback from our scientific review committee. Applicants with high potential projects will be invited to submit a Proposal; instructions will be forwarded along with the invitation in August 2015.
